STARTRADER has launched the redevelopment of a 28×15m basketball court at the District 10 Children’s House in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, marked by a groundbreaking ceremony. The initiative will expand access to structured sports for more than 10,000 young learners annually, aligned with the STAR Foundation’s vision, “Where Tomorrow’s STARS Begin.”
The project addresses the need for safe, well-maintained recreational spaces that support consistent physical activity and skill development. By transforming the existing court into a clearly defined and fully usable facility, it enables children to engage in organized sports within a more reliable and structured environment.
Strengthening an Established Community Institution
Established in 1986, the District 10 Children’s House is a key community hub offering educational and extracurricular programs for children aged 7 to 15. Each year, it serves over 10,000 participants through activities designed to build creativity, discipline, and practical life skills.
Scheduled for completion between April 9 and April 20, the redevelopment upgrades the court’s surface, layout, and usability using durable, safety-focused materials, while adding essential equipment such as basketballs and jerseys to support structured play and increase participation.
