Today Technical Analysis | Gold falls below $4,100 support level as Fed members see another hike this year

Gold Technical Analysis

Gold is attempting a short term recovery, trading around $4,117 after bouncing from the $4,066 low. However, the broader short term structure remains mixed.

Immediate resistance is around $4,125–$4,145, followed by $4,160 and the recent swing high near $4,184. Support is around $4,090, followed by the recent low at $4,066.

The rebound from $4,066 indicates that buyers are defending the lower levels, but the latest candles show some hesitation around $4,125. A sustained break above $4,145–$4,160 would strengthen the recovery and potentially target $4,184. Conversely, a break below $4,090 would put the recent $4,066 low back into focus.

Brent Technical Analysis

Brent crude has developed a strong bullish breakout, trading around $106.91 after recovering sharply from the $101.43 low. Price has moved above the MA5, MA10 and MA20, with the short term averages turning higher and price approaching the $107 area.

Immediate resistance is around $106.90–$107.00, followed by $108.21, the previous major high. Support is around $105.00, followed by $104.80 and $102.80.

The technical structure has shifted decisively in favor of buyers. The series of higher highs and higher lows, combined with the move above the moving averages, suggests strong upside momentum. A sustained break above $107 could target $108.20 and potentially higher levels.

Nasdaq Technical Analysis

Nasdaq-100 is showing a short-term bearish correction after failing to sustain the move toward the 31,404 high. Price is now around 31,094, below the MA5, MA10 and MA20, with the short term averages beginning to turn lower.

Immediate support is around 31,075, followed by 30,879 and the recent low at 30,745. Resistance is around 31,270, followed by 31,405.

The recent rebound from 30,745 has lost momentum, and the latest candles show renewed selling pressure. A break below 31,075 would strengthen the bearish outlook and expose the 30,879 area. However, reclaiming 31,270 would stabilize the structure and potentially reopen the path toward 31,400.
