Gold faces resistance at $4,165 as upside movement remains limited

Gold Technical Analysis

Gold is consolidating after Wednesday’s strong advance. The precious metal traded near $4,128, slightly above the 5-hour moving average at $4,126 and close to the 10-hour average at $4,128, but below the 20-hour average at $4,131. This positioning reflects neutral short-term momentum.

The nearest technical test is the 20-hour average around $4,131. A recovery above this level would improve immediate momentum, while the previous session’s $4,165 high remains the stronger upside barrier. On the downside, the $4,125–$4,128 moving-average area provides initial support, followed by the broader $4,100 region.

An hourly close above $4,131 would improve the short-term structure and bring the previous $4,166 high back into focus.

A sustained move below $4,125 would weaken immediate momentum and increase the risk of a pullback toward $4,100.

Nasdaq 100 Technical Analysis

The Nasdaq remains in a short-term consolidation phase after recovering from the 28,245 low. Price is trading around the 5, 10, and 20-hour moving averages, which have flattened, indicating a lack of strong directional momentum. Buyers continue to defend the 28,900 area, but repeated failures to break higher suggest cautious sentiment.

Immediate resistance is located at 29,150, followed by 29,350. Initial support is seen at 28,900, with stronger support around 28,525. A sustained move above 29,150 would strengthen the bullish outlook and expose 29,350, while a break below 28,900 could trigger renewed selling pressure

Brent Technical Analysis

Brent crude remains firmly bullish, extending its rally to a fresh high near $94.34. Price continues to trade above the 5, 10, and 20-hour moving averages, with the moving averages maintaining a positive alignment, confirming strong upward momentum despite signs of short-term consolidation.

Immediate resistance is located at $94.35, followed by the psychological $95.00 level. Initial support is seen at $93.20, with stronger support around $92.15. Holding above $93.20 keeps the uptrend intact and favors another push toward $95.00, while a break below this level could trigger a corrective pullback.
