Daily Technical Analysis | Crude brent rises above $105 a barrel, nearing its yearly high

Brent Technical Analysis

Brent crude is trading around $108.80, retreating after failing to sustain its recovery toward the recent high of $110.410.

The moving averages suggest a mixed but weakening structure, indicating that short-term momentum has turned bearish, although the broader recovery has not yet been completely invalidated.

Immediate support is located around $108.69, followed by $107.92 and the $107.50 area. A break below $108.69 could expose Brent to further losses toward $107.92.

On the upside, initial resistance is located around $109.10, followed by $109.40 and the recent high at $110.44. A recovery above $109.40 would indicate that buyers are regaining momentum, while a sustained break above $110.410 would confirm a stronger bullish continuation.

Outlook: Neutral to bearish in the short term. Brent is experiencing a correction, with $108.69 acting as an important support level. A break below this area would increase downside risks, while a recovery above $109.40 could revive the bullish scenario.

Gold Technical Analysis

Gold is trading around $4,162, remaining under pressure after retreating from its recent high of $4,217. The chart shows a series of lower highs following the peak, suggesting that sellers have maintained control over much of the latest trading session.

The moving averages reinforce the cautious outlook. The averages are clustered closely together, reflecting a market that is attempting to stabilize after a broader shortterm decline.

Immediate support is located around $4,145–$4,150, near the recent lows. A sustained break below this zone could expose the $4,120 area, followed by the broader support region around $4,105.

On the upside, initial resistance is located around $4,163–$4,172, followed by $4,195 and the recent high at $4,217. A sustained move above $4,172 would improve the short-term outlook, while a breakout above $4,195 would provide stronger evidence of a recovery.

Overall outlook is neutral to bearish. Gold is attempting to stabilize, but it faces resistance around $4,163–$4,172. A break below $4,145 would reinforce the bearish scenario, whereas a sustained recovery above $4,172 could signal improving momentum.

S&P 500 Technical Analysis

The S&P 500 is trading around 7,824, extending its recovery after rebounding from the recent low near 7,777. The index previously reached a high of 7,845 before correcting toward the 7,800 region. Recent price action suggests that buyers are attempting to regain control, although the index has yet to break decisively above its recent peak.

The moving averages indicate a modestly bullish short term structure.

Immediate resistance is located around 7,830–7,845, followed by 7,851. A sustained break above 7,845 would strengthen the bullish outlook and could open the way toward the next resistance zone.

On the downside, initial support is located around 7,814, followed by 7,800 and the recent low near 7,777. A break below 7,800 would weaken the recovery and potentially expose the lower end of the recent trading range.

Overall outlook is cautiously bullish. The recovery remains intact while the index holds above 7,800, but a confirmed breakout above 7,845 is needed to signal stronger upside momentum.
