Daily Technical Analysis | Gold Rebounds Above $3,900 Following Last Week’s 3% Decline

Gold Technical Analysis

Gold continues to face considerable selling pressure. The precious metal experienced an accelerated sell-off during the latest sessions, falling toward $3,870 before attracting some buying interest. The latest price action suggests an attempt to establish a short-term base around the $3,870–$3,900 area. However, despite the latest recovery, the broader structure remains bearish, with gold still trading significantly below its previous highs.

The moving averages MA(5), MA(10), and MA(20) suggest that bearish momentum is beginning to moderate.

Immediate support is located around $3,875, the recent swing low. A break below $3,870 could expose the $3,850 area. On the upside, initial resistance lies around $3,976 followed by $4,010 and $4,075. A sustained move above $3,976 would strengthen the recovery scenario, while a break above $4,010 would provide a more meaningful bullish signal. The short-term outlook is neutral to cautiously bearish, with gold attempting to stabilize but lacking confirmation of a trend reversal.

WTI Technical Analysis

US crude oil has experienced a significant reversal after reaching a recent high of $105.59. The market has declined sharply over the past few hours, with selling pressure accelerating as prices moved below the $104.50 and $103.00 areas. The latest price action suggests that sellers remain firmly in control, although the market is beginning to stabilize around the $100.00–$101.00 region. This area is particularly important because it represents both a psychological support zone and an area close to the previous swing low of $100.45.

The moving averages reinforce the bearish outlook. Price is trading below all three averages MA5, MA10 and MA20.

Immediate support is located around $100.71, followed by the previous low at $100.45 and the psychological $100.00 level. A decisive break below $100.00 could expose further downside. On the upside, initial resistance lies around $101.85, followed by $103.03 and $103.30. A sustained recovery above $103.30 would be needed to significantly improve the technical outlook. For now, the short-term bias remains bearish, with the $100.00 level representing a critical support area.

Nasdaq Technical Analysis

Nasdaq 100 is attempting to recover following a sharp decline that pushed the index toward a recent low of 28,107. The latest price action indicates an improvement in buying interest, with the index rebounding from its lows and moving back above the 28,500 area. However, the broader short-term structure remains relatively weak, as the index has experienced a series of lower highs and lower lows since reaching 30,040.

The moving averages are showing early signs of improvement. A sustained move above all three averages MA(5), MA(10), and MA(20) would strengthen the recovery scenario and indicate that buyers are gradually regaining control.

Immediate support is located around 28,500, followed by 28,107, the recent swing low. A break below this low could expose the 27,930 area. On the upside, initial resistance lies around 28,715, followed by 29,073 and 29,646. A sustained break above 29,073 would provide a stronger indication of bullish momentum returning. The short-term outlook is neutral to cautiously bullish, provided the index holds above the 28,500 area.
