Today Technical Analysis: Crude Oil falls below $100 as supplies improve

September 23, 2026, 09:03

Brent Technical Analysis

Brent remains in a bearish technical structure. Price has recovered from the recent low of $97.62, but it remains below the moving average MA20.

A sustained move above $99.10–$99.25 could allow a recovery toward $100.00–$100.50, followed by the $101.55 resistance area. However, failure to hold the current rebound would bring $97.62 back into focus. A break below that level would reinforce the bearish structure and potentially expose the $96.90 area.

Gold Technical Analysis

Gold remains under short-term bearish pressure, trading around $4,323 after another decline from the recent recovery toward $4,370. Price is now below all three moving averages: MA5, MA10, and MA20.

The immediate support is around $4,313, followed by the recent low at $4,291. A break below $4,291 could expose the $4,280–$4,265 region. On the upside, $4,335–$4,345 is the first resistance zone, followed by $4,366–$4,377. The recent $4,399 high remains the key resistance level. For now, the hourly chart favors further consolidation or downside unless gold can reclaim the $4,345 area.

Nasdaq Technical Analysis

Nasdaq 100 remains in a strong bullish trend on the hourly chart, with price around 30,799. After a strong advance from the 29,383 area, price is now consolidating close to the recent high of 30,845.

The key resistance is 30,845–30,900, with a sustained break above 30,845 potentially opening the way toward 30,980–31,000. On the downside, 30,785 is the first short-term support, followed by 30,727 and 30,545. As long as the index holds above the 20-hour moving average, the broader hourly structure remains bullish, although the relatively declining volume suggests momentum is moderating near the highs.
