From August 3, 2026, STARTRADER is expanding its CFD range with 31 new US Share CFDs and ETF CFDs spanning semiconductors, AI infrastructure, optical and networking hardware, and nuclear energy. The instruments will be available on the trading platform from August 3, with access via the STARTRADER app from August 5, 2026. This article outlines what is being launched, the sectors covered, and the key product specifications eligible clients need to know.
What Is Being Launched
STARTRADER is adding 31 new CFD instruments: 24 US Share CFDs and 7 ETF CFDs. The new instruments reference companies and funds operating across four interconnected themes within the technology and energy sectors: semiconductors, AI infrastructure, optical and networking hardware, and nuclear energy.
Why These Sectors
The development of AI-driven computing infrastructure has created sustained and growing interest across several areas of the market. As AI systems scale in complexity and deployment, the companies supplying the hardware, power systems, and connectivity infrastructure that those systems depend on have attracted increasing attention from market participants globally.
STARTRADER’s expansion into these themes reflects its ongoing commitment to broadening its CFD range in line with areas of growing market interest. The 31 new instruments are designed to provide eligible clients with access to a wider selection of CFDs referencing companies and funds operating across these sectors.
What Is Included in the Launch
Semiconductors
The semiconductor cohort adds ten new US Share CFDs: ON Semiconductor (ON), Wolfspeed (WOLF), Astera Labs (ALAB), Rigetti Computing (RGTI), Sandisk (SNDK), FormFactor (FORM), Navitas Semiconductor (NVTS), Semtech (SMTC), Vishay Intertechnology (VSH), and AXT Inc (AXTI).
These instruments reference companies operating across different segments of the semiconductor value chain. ON Semiconductor and Navitas Semiconductor are involved in power semiconductors with applications across electric vehicles and industrial systems. Wolfspeed operates in silicon carbide semiconductor materials. Astera Labs focuses on connectivity semiconductors relevant to AI data centre infrastructure. Rigetti Computing is involved in quantum computing hardware. FormFactor and AXT Inc operate in semiconductor testing equipment and substrate materials respectively. Semtech and Vishay Intertechnology are diversified component manufacturers with exposure across industrial and communications markets. Sandisk focuses on flash memory storage hardware.
AI Infrastructure
Three Share CFDs reference companies directly involved in AI infrastructure: Cerebras Systems (CBRS), CoreWeave (CRWV), and Vertiv Holdings (VRT).
Cerebras Systems is a chip designer focused on processors designed for AI workloads. The company began trading on Nasdaq under the ticker CBRS following its IPO in May 2026. CoreWeave is a cloud computing provider focused on GPU infrastructure for AI applications. Vertiv Holdings manufactures power management and thermal management systems used in data centre environments.
These instruments provide eligible clients with CFD access to companies operating across the chip architecture, compute infrastructure, and data centre power management segments of the AI technology stack.
Optical and Networking
Four Share CFDs reference companies operating in optical and networking connectivity: Arista Networks (ANET), Ciena (CIEN), Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI), and Fabrinet (FN).
Arista Networks supplies cloud networking hardware and software. Ciena provides optical networking systems and software. Applied Optoelectronics manufactures fibre-optic networking components. Fabrinet is a contract manufacturer specialising in optical and electronic products for the networking and communications industries.
Growing demand for high-speed data transfer across AI computing environments has increased market interest in companies operating across this segment. Eligible clients should note that companies in this sector are sensitive to changes in capital expenditure by hyperscale data centre operators.
Nuclear Energy
Two Share CFDs reference companies operating in the nuclear energy sector: Centrus Energy (LEU) and NuScale Power (SMR).
Centrus Energy is involved in uranium enrichment services for nuclear fuel production. NuScale Power is focused on the development of small modular reactor technology.
Interest in nuclear energy has grown alongside increased attention to the power demands of large-scale AI data centre operations. Eligible clients should note that companies in the nuclear energy sector are subject to regulatory, operational, and policy risks that may affect instrument pricing.
Additional Share CFDs
Five further Share CFDs complete the range: Nokia (NOK), EchoStar (ECHO), USA Rare Earth (USAR), Nebius Group (NBIS), and Iris Energy (IREN).
Nokia is a communications hardware and technology company. EchoStar operates in satellite communications and services. The company’s Nasdaq ticker changed from SATS to ECHO effective June 24, 2026. USA Rare Earth is involved in the mining and processing of rare earth materials. Nebius Group is an AI cloud infrastructure company. Iris Energy operates in the energy and digital asset mining space.
ETF CFDs
Seven ETF CFDs provide structured thematic coverage across the sectors represented in this launch.
SMH (VanEck Semiconductor ETF) and SOXX (iShares Semiconductor ETF) offer broad exposure to the semiconductor sector through a single instrument. SOXL (Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3X Shares) provides daily leveraged exposure to the semiconductor sector. Eligible clients should note that SOXL is a leveraged ETF CFD designed for short-term trading and carries additional risks relative to non-leveraged instruments, including the potential for amplified losses. It is not designed to be held over extended periods and may not perform in line with the underlying index over longer timeframes.
DRAM (DRAM Memory ETF) references companies involved in DRAM memory production. FOTO (Tuttle Capital Pure Play Photonics ETF) references companies operating in the photonics industry. IGV (iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF) provides exposure to the broader technology software sector. EWT (iShares MSCI Taiwan ETF) references the MSCI Taiwan Index, providing exposure to Taiwanese equity markets closely connected to global semiconductor manufacturing.
