Some awards arrive as surprises. Others arrive as confirmation of something a company already knew it was building toward. When STARTRADER was named Best Fintech Forex Broker at Forex Expo Dubai 2026, it belonged firmly to the second kind.
The award, presented at the Forex Expo Dubai Awards organised by HQMENA, closed out two full days at the Dubai World Trade Centre, where STARTRADER participated as Global Sponsor of the event’s ninth edition. More than 250 exhibitors and 150 speakers filled five halls. Somewhere in the middle of all of it, at Booth 161, sat a broker whose year had quietly made the case for exactly this kind of recognition.
This is the story of that year, and of the two days in Dubai that brought it into focus.
What the Award Recognises
A Fintech Award for a Fintech Approach
“Fintech” is a word the industry uses generously. Every broker has a platform. Every platform has features. What separates a fintech broker from a broker that simply uses technology is the question of what the technology is for.
For STARTRADER, the answer has been consistent: technology exists to remove the constraints that stand between clients and the markets they follow. Not to add complexity. Not to multiply features. To take the friction out.
The Forex Expo Dubai Awards recognise achievement, innovation, and leadership across the global trading industry. The Best Fintech Forex Broker title, in STARTRADER’s case, recognises a very specific application of that idea: a year spent systematically dismantling the concept of market hours.
The Year That Earned It
Consider what changed on STARTRADER’s platform over the past twelve months.
US equities moved to continuous access, first through extended 24/5 coverage, then through a full 24/7 range that includes some of the most closely followed names in global markets. Gold, an asset people have trusted through every kind of uncertainty for thousands of years, entered a seven-day framework through XAUUSD247, quoting through weekends and overnight hours when the traditional gold market goes quiet.
The around-the-clock range then widened geographically. ZHIPU and MINIMAX brought Hong Kong-listed Chinese AI companies to the platform. CXMT and Unitree Robotics extended that coverage into memory chips and humanoid robotics, the physical hardware behind the AI economy.
Each launch answered the same client question from a different angle: why should the market’s schedule decide when I can act?
By the time the award was announced in September, the answer had become a product philosophy visible across the entire offering.
On the Conference Stage
Pre-IPO Trading Risks: A Timely Subject
CEO Peter Karsten’s keynote addressed pre-IPO trading risks, and the timing of the subject was hard to miss.
The past year has seen a wave of high-profile technology listings enter global markets. Chinese AI companies debuted on HKEX in January 2026 and attracted extraordinary attention. AI infrastructure names arrived on Nasdaq through the year. Each listing carried the same tension: enormous market interest meeting limited operating history, untested valuations, and volatility that can move in both directions with equal force.
For traders, that tension is precisely what makes recently listed companies compelling and dangerous in equal measure. Price discovery in a newly listed name is a live process. The market is still deciding what the company is worth, and the journey to that decision is rarely smooth.
A keynote on this subject, delivered to an audience of traders, brokers, and industry professionals, lands differently than it would have two years ago. The names are fresher. The examples are recent. The lessons are still being written.
The Edge of Reason: Trading Markets 2027
On the second day, Karsten joined a podcast session titled The Edge of Reason: Trading Markets 2027, a forward-looking conversation about where market structure is heading.
The title carries its own suggestion: that markets are approaching a point where conventional frameworks are being tested. Continuous trading, AI-driven analysis, retail participation at institutional scale, and assets that trade every hour of every day are not future concepts. They are the current direction of travel. The question for 2027 is not whether markets keep moving this way, but how quickly, and who is positioned for it.
For a broker that has spent the year building continuous access across asset classes, it is not difficult to see where STARTRADER believes the answer lies.
At Booth 161
Booth 161 showed the breadth of what STARTRADER stands behind. As Official Partner of the NBA in the Middle East and the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East, STARTRADER stands with names defined by the same qualities it builds into its products: precision, performance, and the pursuit of excellence.
The stand was built around a suspended LED canopy floating above a curved video-wall structure, carrying the STARTRADER wordmark alongside its Official NBA Partner and Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East branding. The architecture itself made the first impression: sweeping curves in deep blue and white, wrapped in animated LED surfaces that could be seen from across the hall.
Inside, the space told the story of the brand’s partnerships in physical form. A full wall of NBA team emblems ran along one side. A mesh column filled with basketballs rose through the centre of the stand, standing beside a Porsche Carrera Cup racing display finished in the competition’s livery. Between them, the STARTRADER mascot, an astronaut figure in an NBA jersey with a basketball in hand, stood on its platform beside a digital screen carrying the invitation at the heart of the brand’s presence: Trade and Shine With Us.
The rest of the stand was built for the people in it: lounge seating in warm orange, a reception counter, and open sightlines that kept the space welcoming rather than imposing.

Built on Trust. Driven by Growth.
Built on Trust. Driven by Growth. is more than STARTRADER’s tagline; this week in Dubai, it read as a summary of the past twelve months. Trust, earned through products shaped directly by client feedback, from the traders who asked why gold had to stop on weekends to the ones who wanted access to the Chinese AI story as it unfolded. Growth, visible in a product range that now spans every hour of the week
The award in Dubai did not create that story. It confirmed it.
What Comes Next
Awards are backward-looking by nature. They recognise what has been done. STARTRADER’s attention, by all indications, is on what has not been done yet.
Further launches are in development. The 24/7 framework that began with US equities and extended into gold and Chinese technology names is a foundation, not a finish line. And if the past year is a reliable guide, the next set of products will begin the same way the last set did: with something clients said they needed.
“Awards are milestones, not destinations. What this one tells us is that the direction we chose, building around our clients rather than around convention, is the right one. That is the standard we will keep holding ourselves to.” Peter Karsten, CEO, STARTRADER
